Riding Day Camp at Furlyn Farm

A fun, safe, and structured introduction to riding and horse care.

Weekly sessions designed for beginners and first-time riders to experience horses, build confidence, and learn the basics in a supportive environment.

What to expect

Riding & horse experience

Daily guided riding sessions combined with hands-on horse care and grooming. Instruction is tailored to each child in a safe, supervised setting.

Farm & environment

Our 75-acre farm provides space to learn, explore, and connect with horses in a calm, outdoor setting.

What campers do each day

Riding & horse time

Campers participate in guided riding sessions designed to build balance, control, and confidence at their level.

Horsemanship & care

Hands-on experience with grooming, handling, and understanding horses—learning how to safely work around them.

Structured activities

Horse-themed games and interactive activities that reinforce what they learn while keeping the day fun and engaging.

Creative & hands-on time

Projects and activities connected to barn life—something meaningful to take home each week.

End-of-week experience

A relaxed riding session where campers can show what they’ve learned in a supportive, low-pressure environment.

Each day follows a consistent rhythm to help campers feel comfortable and confident:

  • Morning: learn, groom, and ride
  • Midday: lunch and structured activities
  • Afternoon: additional horse time, learning, and games
